Doing it for Deon
Monday 22nd JunOn the 8th of June, our dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack. We lost our world
He was only 63 years old and one of the healthiest people we knew. He was active, hardworking, full of life, and had so many plans for the future. His death came completely out of nowhere, and nothing could have prepared our family for the heartbreak that followed.
I’m taking part in Run to Zero in his memory.
I don’t have all the answers, and we still struggle to understand how someone who seemed so healthy could be gone so suddenly. But we do know that no family should have to experience the shock, grief, and pain that comes with losing someone they love without warning.
This challenge is for him, for the life he lived, and for the memories he left behind. Every kilometre we run this July is in his honour.
