My target 95 kms
I'm running this 95 km this July for every person in Australia who dies from a heart attack, one every 95 minutes.
This July, I'm taking on the Heart Foundation Challenge by running **95 kilometres** to raise funds and awareness for heart disease. This challenge is deeply personal.
Earlier this year, in January, at just 39 years old,I suffered a major Takotsubo (stress induced) heart attack. It completely changed my life. My cardiologist told me it was the worst case he had seen in someone my age and jokingly congratulated me on "winning an award no one wants."
It was terrifying.
Before it happened, I never imagined something like this could happen to me. But that's exactly the point. Heart disease doesn't always look the way we expect. It can affect anyone, regardless of age or how healthy they appear.
That experience forced me to make some difficult but necessary life changes, and now I'm choosing to turn something so frightening into something positive.
Throughout July, I'll be running **95 kilometres** to support the Heart Foundation and help raise awareness and vital funds for research, education, and support for the thousands of Australians affected by heart disease every year.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I'd be incredibly grateful. And if you can't donate, simply sharing this post could help spread an important message.
Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and for helping me turn one of the hardest chapters of my life into something that might help someone else.
Much love ❤️
