My target 95 kms
In 2023, I underwent open-heart surgery. It’s an experience that changed my life and gave me a firsthand understanding of how important heart health, medical research, and quality cardiac care really are.
This July, I’m taking part in Run to Zero by running 95 kilometres, one kilometre for every person who dies from a heart attack in Australia every 95 minutes.
I’ll be starting at 95km and counting down to zero throughout the month. As the kilometres fall, I’m hoping my fundraising total will rise.
I’m running because I know how fortunate I am to have received the care I needed when I needed it. Not everyone gets that chance. Every donation helps support the Heart Foundation’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and efforts to improve heart health across Australia.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. If not, your encouragement and support as I work towards this goal means just as much.
Let’s help create a future where fewer Australians and their families are impacted by heart disease.
