My target 113 kms
I'm running this 95 km this July for every person in Australia who dies from a heart attack, one every 95 minutes.
Heart disease is something that has touched my family.I have witnessed a parent suffer a heart attack and supported them through bypass surgery and recovery. I've spent time in the Coronary Care Unit and seen firsthand that heart disease doesn't just affect older people or those who have made poor health choices. It doesn't discriminate.
In Australia, someone loses their life to a heart attack every 95 minutes.
This July, I'm taking part in Run to Zero and committing to running 95km – one kilometre for every person who dies from a heart attack in our country. I'll helped along by my running buddy Miguel, my 5-year-old Spanish Warmblood horse, who will be joining me for many of the outdoor runs.
In doing this I'm raising funds for the Heart Foundation to support life-saving research and healthcare programs. If you're able to contribute, I'd be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for your support.
